How Work is Done
Dr. Riggs utilizes her entire education and experience as well as the extensive
network of healthcare professionals established during her 35 years in Nursing to focus on
the needs of each attorney's client case.
Each set of case documents is meticulously organized into appropriate sections, missing
documents are identified, the records then are stringently reviewed. During the review any
indications of tampering or spoilation are identified and noted.
At this point an outline is constructed and a chronology of key events is developed (more
detail is added at the need of the individual attorney/client). Standards of care deviations
related to the outcome of the case are identified and the classes of expert witnesses
needed are listed. When needed, a line-by-line analysis of pertinent portions of the
records is performed in which each item is explained and standards of care breaches or
adherences explicated.
As necessary, needed expert witnesses are located. Each potential expert's credentials are
checked out and any publications by the potential experts are located and copied. An expert is
recommended only after careful checking. Through an association with a licenced private
investigator, Dr. Riggs can obtain a complete background check of the expert
At the individual attorney's request, findings can be communicated verbally or in written
format. Utilizing the wonderful advantages of electronic and telephonic communications and
direct overnight delivery services, Dr. Riggs can communicate findings on a timely basis.
