Smart-Flow©
Smart-Flow© is a computer-based decision-support system designed and
implemented by Dr. Riggs for analyzing prenatal health status and perinatal risk assessment
in Maternal/Obstetric clinical settings where advanced practice nurses, C.N.M.'s and/or
P.A.'s work. It is currently based in Lotus 1-2-3, but is being revised and upgraded
into a stand-alone database format.
Dr. Riggs uses this tool both prospectively and retrospectively.
Prospectively, the tool is useful for risk-scoring, patient management
support, and record-keeping purposes. Office protocols and patient education materials can
be customized by the user and embedded within the system.
Retrospectively, Smart-Flow© may be used to identify points at which risks
first are discernable, the effects of treatment, for educational purposes, and to resolve some
of the legal issues which may be related to prenatal care.
Note: Currently under revision, Smart-Flow© may be made available
commercially if there is sufficient demand. Please check back after October 1999.

RC-Templates
They are finally here!!! RC-Templates are applications for use within
MS-Word 97 (or higher) or WordPerfect (v.8 or higher) that guide you in entering basic
(cover sheet) information for Case Reviews. The Word applications are more sophisticated
than the ones for WordPerfect due to limitations in WordPerfect programming in version 8.
The templates are all contained on one 3.5" diskette.

RC-Chrono
It's finally here!! RC-Chrono is a very simple database that allows the
LNC to enter events from medical records and sort chronologically by date and time. There
is a column for the date, a column for the time, and a column for events. As much data
as desired may be entered in each events cell.
Data may be entered as encountered in the records. The entries are automatically
sorted by date and time. If several events occur at the same time, they are sorted under
that date/time by order of entry. Only ascending sorting is permitted.
No complicated or extended learning curve! No poorly indexed and easily misplaced
manuals! Install and begin to use immediately with minimal assistance from the help file.
Data are saved in database format and also may be saved as text. The textfile
may be opened in any major wordprocessor (not notepad or wordpad) and formated as desired.
Use RC-Chrono to:
- create a skeleton of events for timelines
- create a detailed chronology
- organize records
- currently available on 4 - 3.5" diskettes or 1 CD-Rom
RC-Chrono is available only for PC applications. No MAC versions are contemplated
at this time. Requirements: at least 10meg harddrive space and 48meg RAM.
