Video Documentation
Visible injuries such as lacerations, bruising, burns, and scarring
should be photographed and/or video'd early on in a case. The earlier
such injuries are visually documented the better. Progress of healing
can then be documented with a series of videos or photographs.
The scene of an accident needs to be video'd and photographed as soon
after the accident as possible, preferrably before the vehicles or
machinery are removed. Made into exhibits, such photos and videos can
demonstrate to a jury the full extent of the accident.
Re-enactment or reconstruction of the circumstances which caused
injury can be telling evidence in personal injury cases.
Dr. Riggs works with professional photographers and scenario
reconstructionists to ensure the client's injury mechanisms are
clearly demonstrated in the simplest way possible. This makes it more
likely that a jury will understand the forces involved and the
actions which led to the injuries.
